Andrés (Andy) is a man of many
musical talents. He is a composer, recording artist,
sound/recording engineer, music teacher, guitarist,
bassist, and pianist. For convenience this site is broken
up into each of these sub-categories. Each is intended to
provide useful information to fans who wish to know more about
individual projects, prospective musicians are interested in working
with Andrés, or potential employers who wish to have a more detailed
resume.

Biography
Andrés (Andy) Delikat is a resident of
Gainesville, Florida. He is a graduate of the University of Florida
where he received is Master's degree in music composition.
There he studied with Dr. James Paul Sain, Dr. Paul Richards, and Dr.
Paul Koonce. He received his Bachelor's of Music
degree from Birmingham-Southern College where he
studied music composition under Dr. Dorothy Hindman and Dr.
Charles Norman Mason as well as piano performance under William
Devan. Numerous works of Andy's have been performed around the
Birmingham are as well as in Tuscaloosa, AL, Chattanooga, TN, and
Gainesville, FL. His piece Erosion Void of Time won 2nd place in the
Associated Colleges of the South Student Works Competition.
Andrés is currently gives private music lessons at the Gainesville Guitar Academy. There he an
instructor in piano, guitar, bass, mandolin, music theory, and music
composition.
Andrés is working on a series of guitar
and method books for beginners that will be features on MJS Publications. Andrés has also transcribed Mark
Sternal's book Guitar: Total Scales Techniques and Applications
into the bass version Bass: Total Scales Techniques and
Applications. Andrés also performed ,recorded, and mastered the CD
for the bass book, as well as recording and mastering the CD for the
guitar book and the recording Complete Bass by Ear. All these are
products are available through MJS
Publications.
